About Lesson

Objective:

This week’s discussion continues working on Section 3 where we will add a few beads while we consider the hands and feet of YHVH.

Beads:

We will connect these two passages to beads 4, 5, 7, and 8.

The phrases associated with those beads are:

(4, 5): “In whose hands are Mercy and Judgement, a sharp two edged sword”
(7, 8): “Whose feet are as Eternal Glory, Refined in the furnace”

Passages to Ponder

Revelation 1:13-14

15. And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

16. And he had in his right hand seven stars; and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword; and his countenance was as the sun shining in his strength.

Zenos 1:32-34

35. And his feet were as eternal glory, never departing to the right nor to the left, but ever forward;

36. And in his right hand was mercy, and in his left judgment;

37. And his countenance was as the sun shining in his strength;

Questions of Knowledge (What it says at the surface)

  • What are the Lord’s hands?
  • What are his feet?

Questions of Wisdom (What it means below the surface)

  • In what way are Mercy and Judgement a two edged sword?
  • How are hands the instruments of Mercy or Justice?
  • What does Eternal Glory mean (in terms of being what YHVH’s feet are made of)?
  • How do feet bring about Eternal Glory?
  • What does it mean that the Lords feat are refined in the furnace?

Questions of Understanding (Likening it to Ourselves)

  • In what ways have your feet been refined by a furnace?
  • Have your hands ever been as mercy, or as judgement?

Questions of Mystery (What deeper meaning can be harvested)

  • In the book of Zenos, we learn that the seven stars are the seven angels who oversee the seven dispensations of Christ’s “church” or people.  In what way are the seven stars in the right hand of YHVH as described by John the same as the mercy that is in his hand as described by Zenos?
